How to use the washing lotion.
Daily cleansing
For daily cleansing (shower, bath, bidet), pour a small amount of lotion onto your hand, apply it to the area and then wash it off.
Intimate shaving
For intimate shaving after cleansing, apply it more generously to the area you wish to shave, work it into a lather and then shave as desired.

Application
Deumavan Washing Lotion is suitable for daily cleansing and care of the external female and male genital areas. “Less is more”—this is especially true when it comes to cleansing the intimate area. Frequent and prolonged contact with water, especially hot water, strips the intimate skin of its natural oils. This can leave the skin dry, rough, and cracked. The fats in the washing lotion prevent the intimate skin from drying out during cleansing. Especially for stressed, dry, and rough intimate skin or sore skin in the anal area, it is recommended to apply Deumavan Protective Ointment afterward.

What is the pH value of Deumavan Washing lotion?
Deumavan Washing lotion has been specially developed for cleansing the external intimate area. It has a pH value of approximately 4.35 to help maintain the skin’s natural acid mantle.
During menopause, the pH value mainly changes in the internal intimate area (vaginal mucosa), not on the external skin. For this external area, a slightly acidic pH value remains important even during menopause to protect the skin from irritation and dryness.
A higher pH value would not be suitable for the daily cleansing of the external intimate area.
Can Deumavan Washing Lotion also be used for intimate shaving?
Yes, Deumavan Washing Lotion can be used instead of shaving foam for intimate shaving. It helps to soften the skin, makes shaving easier, and reduces the risk of razor burn and ingrown hairs.
Are there any precautions to take with condoms when using the washing lotion?
Please use only polyurethane or AT-10 [resin-based] condoms in combination with Deumavan Washing Lotion. Latex condoms are sensitive to fats and oils and can become porous as a result. The same applies to polyisoprene condoms, which, although synthetic, are also affected by fats and oils.
